Hal Torman

Owner, Inventor

A family man married for over 40 years, with 3 kids, and 12 grandkids, Hal loves spending time outside with his family.

After 13 years working with multiple louvered roof companies, Hal decided that improvements needed to be made. He used that experience to design the Sundance All Season Pergola.

Mike Lewis

Owner, Operations

Married for over 15 years and 6 kids. Mike loves playing in the yard and spending time outside.

After 10 years in the Navy and a few more years as an engineer, Mike joined forces with Hal to create Sundance Outdoor Living.

We bought a louvered awning from Sundance within the last couple of years , and we love it! It’s well constructed and sturdy, it’s beautiful, and we love being able to adjust the louvres to let in more light or give us more shade/weather protection. Recently we had a small issue with the rain sensor system, and Sundance went above and beyond to fix things and ensure our satisfaction. This company stands behind its products. The owner even called me to make sure everything was ok. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them.

Coming out of winter the electric louvered system wasn’t working and my installer wasn’t returning calls.
I contacted Sundance and Hal Torman and his support team responded quickly to fix the problem. Problem ended being a simple issue with the remote that the installer didn’t

they are doing my pergola now and I have been really impressed Nick and his crew are top notch he always calls and tells when he going to show up and because my wife works nights there mindful of that to work quietly so she can sleep. if you want a pergola go with these guys.

I shopped all around for a louvered motorized pergola and almost went with the lowest price I could find. I'm so glad I was talked out of that and picked Sundance. This product was designed by professional engineers. I was an Air Force officer, flying around on airborne command posts. Later, I was a nuclear weapons engineer. I know good engineering. Also, the installation was flawless. It looks like it came with the house. Here's a picture of it pouring down rain, but not a drop leaking on the patio.
